THE GRAND CLUB - MATANZAS COURSE
PALM COAST, FL
Designed by course architects Arnold Palmer & Ed Seay, Matanzas is a very challenging course with open, rolling fairways, well-bunkered greens, and water on eight holes. This interesting layout offers a quiet and peaceful atmosphere, meandering through a variety of cypress and pine trees... virtually no homes! The signature hole is the 529-yard, par-5, 18th that features a demanding approach shot to a small "island" green.

Golfer Comments
11/27/2006 - A very good, very hard, course. Challenged all of us. Pace of play was great since we were first off in the morning and could play at our own pace (which is quite fast compared with the norm). Not a particularly welcoming staff--kind of like they're happy to take our money, but would rather not have to have us play there. A hard course to play, made even harder because we were doing so for the first time and the first 5 holes were in quite foggy conditions. We'll do better next time. Posted by Michael (Belmont, MA)
